Lemmy mods ban people at the drop of a hat

Reddit is no different. The mods there are also just unpaid volunteers who started the subs and control those subs entirely through their own personal biases.

and this echo chamber is deafening compared to reddit

That's only because most of Lemmy actually removes Nazis and their bootlickers.
