Maybe so, but if you do this today at a theater that pre-sells assigned seats, you're guaranteed not to get the better seats which have been pre-selected, even if you are there first.

I feel the same way about concerts. Live Nation and Ticketmaster would not be a thing if mfers from around the world did not have purchase access to the show happening down the street from me. Just let me walk over and buy from the ticket agent and let's be done with the transaction.
