People that are hostile, taking the least charitable interpretation or engaging in bad-faith

, but has the community considered requiring linked sources in the news megathread? Like maybe not necessarily for everything (e.g., people commenting on or interpreting multiple pieces of news or events), but there are lots of “news” posts that are just quotes from unnamed sources without any link or indication of where it came from, and I think that goes against the point of news and critical inquiry

Easy fix would just be to call them out for being a

but literally hypertext links are the whole concept of the World Wide (WWW). Why not just provide them?
