He fucked us with one promise first round (electoral reform) but otherwise he was mostly ok for a few years. The last 4 have been pretty shitty tho. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] assaultpotato@sh.itjust.works 12 points 2 years ago Eh, I'd have voted for him again over Singh or PPboi but between the blackface thing, the SNC affair, etc. he's definitely had his fair share of indirectly political scandals over basically his entire tenure. He didn't do everything he promised, played some net-zero impact political games but also accomplished some meaningfully positive things (childcare, forced rezoning, carbon tax, etc.) that people seem to totally ignore. My only meaningful complaint with him is the electoral reform and the lack of antitrust action, but I otherwise think he did "fine" over his tenure. permalink fedilink source parent [–] fosho@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 years ago* unfortunately we fucked ourselves with electoral reform. it went to a referendum and the fucking morons botched it by complaining that it was to complicated and then just voted no. I'm still pissed about it. permalink fedilink source parent [–] HawlSera@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago (1 child) So between "Burning down churches is understandable" (A line taken out of context, but still looks pretty bad...) and "Thanks to MAID we can just kill the poor!" What else has he gotten in trouble for permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 years ago (1 child) blackface is the one everyone usually says permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] HawlSera@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago Ah... forgot about that one permalink fedilink source parent
