if I had to isolate a truly insufferable 'generational trait' along the wave of my peers it would be that. please give us a hard time for it if we continue the generational wars against you, we deserve it

The oldest millennial is 50 or so and I'm in my early 30s, generations are nonsense and it's generally bad to generalize based around the oldest of a made uo demographic regardless.

50 is still gen x territory I think, oldest millenials are ~40

To me there mark of the millennial is spending all/almost all of their entire working life in the wake of the financial crisis. These are the folks for whom the American dream was dead on arrival. A 50 year old would have been born in 74 and so 34 in '08 and started their career in the 90s, they probably felt a glimmer of hope at some point

They got fucked hard actually since they're the ones who saw their home equity collapse, got laid off mid career etc
