When the wife was just the girlfriend and later the fiancé, she spent a lot of time at my house because nobody was yelling at my house, so it became a self fulfilling prophecy. This young woman had a decision: "Which mental health issue would I rather deal with?" And it came down to whatever her mom has, or being stuck with a mechanically inclined awkward weirdo who reads too much and is probably on the spectrum. I'm glad she chose me.
