In my opinion Aloy was very well written by contemporary game standards but that didn't stop a bunch of from giving her clumsy makeovers that make zero sense for the character and the environment she's in.

I've literally seen them call Chell from Portal "well written" in this way, for fuck's sake she doesnt fucking speak.
