It's apathy. People are too concerned with being in survival mode versus living. This is again a feature of capitalism, not a bug.

Absolutely. If I lose my job, I'd go homeless. I don't have any savings. I live exactly paycheck to paycheck. I can't even miss a day of work. It's working as intended. It keeps us on our toes all the time. We don't even have time to protest.

Suggestions for action? I'm in the education stage, but I'm having difficulty imagining beyond that. I've participated in protests and some similar activism, but haven't seen much in the way of results.
