I have sinusitis, I was told that I may breathe well with acupuncture. Five sessions later, zero improvement, and a lot of money spent. No, thanks. permalink fedilink source parent [–] DontAskAboutUpdog@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago Any study that shows positive effect is funded by the chinese goverment. Even as a sample of one, I benefitted from it greatly from treating my sinus and LBP. For a bit of context, this is in Singapore where we have a formal medical board to regulate TCM and acupuncture, and physicians undergo years of college education. Laws are also present to deter abuse and protect patients. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] DontAskAboutUpdog@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) You are making this mistake: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_from_anecdote Edit: also this fallicy: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_from_authority permalink fedilink source parent
