I wonder why. It's loading in all of my clients - but, then, I was subscribed to a community on feddit.de, and it disappeared on me about a week later (I simply can't get to it). I figured there were some defederation shenanigans going on, on one side or the other, but maybe midwest.social is having some issues instead. I try to not care about problems with social networking; I find it's easier to maintain my chill that way. The community might have just been deleted altogether. You can verify by checking the modlog, which is publicly accessible with Lemmy. You probably uploaded your profile picture before a pictrs rollback, which would mean it appears for all of your clients and browsers that have cached it but if you pull up an incognito window it'll likely be missing. You'll have to re-upload it for them to show for anyone else.
