It’s an example of the background radiation of evangelical Christianity poisoning Americans’ brains - even those diametrically opposed to Christianity. Jews and Arabs have always fought because that’s what the Old Testament is all about and the Old Testament is literal historical truth.
Does Jews and Arabs even fight that much in the Old Testament? I remember it's mostly Canaanites and then whomever happen to have an empire nearby.
Arab = anyone in the Middle East (other than Jews) to Americans. They were even calling the Taliban Arabs.
