Virgil Texas, cohost of Bad Faith, a political interview podcast:

There is absolutely no one on the anticapitalist left who is concerned about the prospect of the Democratic Party winning the votes of podcast listeners. The notion is hilarious, though.

I guess he's not dead.

I'm surprised the signed guitar isn't $14,880.

It's really good, and I'm enjoying it. But holy fuck does the licensed music in this show suck! Not only does it not really fit the setting, and is just kinda meh.... But Imagine Dragons are diagetic????

How can the planet be getting warmer if my fat ass is freezing and there's 5 inches of the wet stuff on the ground? Folks, the loony left, the big China Climate Hoax, it's all fake, we know it, you know it. thicc-trump

yugioh, manga card game, got it. pokemon, video game anime, got it. digimon... tamagotchi anime?

yugioh monsters, projections of cards. pocket monsters, attack pets. digital monsters, like, from what I hear they've got essentially human-levels of intelligence?

I genuinely am having trouble discerning where the hook-on point for this, weird multimedia blob is? It's the anime, right? Because from the outside of having literally no interaction with the franchise over my life outside of like stray mentions in the context of specific contrast to pokemon, it looks like it's a franchise that kinda had a neat little toy, got an anime that hit, and then bumbled into literally every other industry that collectibles do and did them all in a way that made essentially zero cultural impact outside of unlimited contrarianism against pokemon by kids who had a chip on their shoulder about it.

all power to those kids in retrospect, good bit if that was the case, but it's something that's confounded me for a bit: have I been fucking hermetically-sealed off from a major cultural phenomenon? is this like an ozymandias situation where it's all ash in the present? is this just contrarian's pokemon as I thought it was when I was 12? I'm looking at the wikipedia page and my eyes are glazing over, it's like it's designed to be the most unintuitive thing for people who want to get a handle on it.

I don't get it limmy-what

These 15 people weren't even necessary to grant Trump unlimited power to shut down nonprofits, but they voted Yes anyway to give it a veneer of "bipartisanship". 15 more Democrats didn't show up or abstained.

You got your 5 basic senses; taste, sight, touch, smell and sound

and then you get further into it and there's like position.

And then you get further into it and there's like "position relative to your other positions, removed from everything else"

And then you get further into it and there's like "your hormones do something iunno"

And then, I propse, a bunch of Estonians stumbled upon even more advanced senses by way of inframaterialism. They fucking cracked the code on all the subconsciously influenced senses. They're all your senses filtered through your some parts of your uncionscousness. Shivers is the gut feeling you get when the bar fight turns sour. Esprit de Corps is when you notice your organisational circle acting out. These are common, human experiences!
