@Elorageuse @poVoq - it is, but when you are spreading a message you have to go to where people are.

@thisfro - Yeah! That's solarpunk! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Degrowth, mutual aid, decentralized and localized economies, anti-capitalism, social justice, ethical and thoughtful approach to technology, climate and ecological sustainability, etc et al. What you're describing is solarpunk.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago

@thisfro @keepthepace - everything you just said was solarpunk. why is that dark?

[-] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

@LibertyLizard - I think it was a bit the other way round. Solarpunk started as an idea. Just the "I'm tired of dystopian scifi. I want utopias that address pragmatic concerns and show us a way out of this current situation."

Then folks started to collate ideas on how to make that work and found that various anarchic philosophies already addressed it.

@LibertyLizard @poVoq - Here you go:

"What is Solarpunk?" by Andrewism including
"A Brief History of Solarpunk" and "The Politics & Art of Solarpunk"

@AEMarling - Cheers! Just put it in! (Screenshot of request below... but not sure if you can see it in the Lemmy UI - You'll have to click on this reply's link to view it on the Mastodon page for the screenshot)

@AEMarling - My library needs (or prefers) an ISBN. Do you have one for this book? I only found the Barnes and Noble number.
