Wanted to give the girls the welcome they deserve! They’re just getting started and learning the ropes of the game, so be sure to give them a warm welcome if you ever visit the streams! Wendy was the first to join, and I believe she’s now in her second week. Yoey joined next, and she’s been playing for about a week. Lydia joined last week and is the newest member among the eight players. All three have already improved so much since they started!

New to YoTyan? Here's a quick introduction!

Here’s a quick explanation of the game for anyone who’s new to YoTyan!

What is YoTyan?

YoTyan is a tabletop game that originated in China and was invented in 2020. The game is played with multiple players and involves learning different strategies and skills as you play. It is a variation of Uncball, also known as Starball, with its own rules, scoring system, and number of slots.

How do you play YoTyan?

YoTyan is a two-player tabletop game where players take turns shooting balls into the slots on the three starfish (tiers). Each starfish has seven slots and is worth different points. Players can earn bonus points and extra turns through different plays. The goal is to score more points than your opponent.

What are the YoTyan streams like?

The streams feature players teaching viewers how to play while watching new players learn and improve over time. It's fun to see everyone's progress as they learn the game and gain more experience.

Why does the team stream?

The YoTyan team streams to share the game with more people, teach the viewers how to play, and have fun together. The streams also help introduce people to YoTyan and the tables, so those who enjoy watching can learn more about getting a table of their own.

Yeah that’s what I was doing on Reddit. I assumed it would be like any other platform building from scratch. I did one post a day third day got banned lol. Hopefully this site doesn’t ban people for posting 5 hours later or whatever.

Yes, YoTyan is a bit like shuffleboard. They’re similar because both use a smooth table where you slide pieces to score points. I can see a small Plinko comparison because of the different slots and where the pieces can end up, but it’s not really like Plinko since there aren’t any pegs or bumpers. I think its like if pool and shuffleboard had a baby. This game would be the outcome. 😂

I honestly don’t really like Reddit anymore. Some people can be so mean, but I guess that’s social media for you. 😭 I made my community only 3 days ago. I made two posts. One on the first day and another the next day. Then I was told I needed to build up karma, so I started commenting on posts and made posts in other communities last night. Next thing I know, I’m shadowbanned. No warning, no explanation, nothing. My friend thinks Reddit may have thought I was a bot. I submitted an appeal, but I’ve heard it can take months or even years to get a response, so who knows.

I never should’ve listened to the people who said I needed to get karma. I survived 2 days doing nothing, but the second I listened to them, I got banned. I would’ve rather kept my 0 karma than get banned at 28 karma.

I wouldn’t mind having a “Reddit Refugee Camp” here for all the people who’ve been banned for seemingly no reason. Make the description “If Reddit kicked you out, come here. We’re all refugees together”. I hear it can take months or even years to get a response to an appeal, so yikes.

Also, some Reddit users can be really mean. I simply asked for advice on how to grow my community and explained that I was doing it just for fun. People started saying I was advertising and that Reddit users don’t like that, or even suggesting that I could be working for the company to promote it and get paid. I’m like, I’m literally doing this on my own, in my free time, because I enjoy it. They really didn’t need to be so mean about it. 😭
