I suspect that the wealthy spend more on EVERYTHING than the homeless.
Commuting, laundry, yard work, cooking/baking, dishes, shopping, pretty much any task that doesn't require talking or reading.
I have one of their all-in-one colour toner machines for my GF's business, it's awesome. Scanning to an SFTP share means she can just feet a stack of paper into it and get a PDF in her Documents/Scans directory.
AND fun fact, there are no lasers in "laser printers" they all use 1D LED arrays to transfer the image data to the drum. Only the early toner based printers used a real laser and they were operating almost like a CRT, scanning a raster onto the drum.
The only encrypted file I have is my kdbx.
I wish the "Dark Web" hadn't turned into shit show, Just looking into it now gets you onto some fuckin watch list but it would have been a perfectly viable place to set up a proper censorship-free web. It also takes care of the user-quality issue by being slightly harder to use than a button that says "INSTALL APP NOW!"
It's one of my inappropriate set pieces. When I run into particularly uppity engineers who want to use 10 sensors and 5 motors to open a door, I give them the butthole monologue to point out that physical complexity != functionality.
So does a 54% reduction in trails offset the 2% higher carbon emissions?

Dreams? What about when it locks up and plays a virtual 200db 5khz tone for the rest of your life?
