From the scientific studies I am looked at their is a direct cause and effect relationship between spanking and bad grades. It is true that some kids can be spanked and not affected by it. I am pretty sure you will find high achievers with traumatic childhoods.

I did read the rules and didn't see any rules for waiting. I thought this was a great post. People so upset with a political idea they are willing to kill over it. I have now posted links. I think my post now follows the rules if not let me know. Can you please give your opinion on how strongly you or others feel about getting rid of parental autonomy?

Parental Autonomy is the legal term that was giving to parents in 1923 in the Meyer vs Massachusetts. This is what is still in place that allows parents to spank their children. This seems out dated to me because spanking has been proven to cause the same neurological problems as trauma caused by PTSD. I am proposing getting rid of parents right to spank a child. A child gets spanked for bad grades this causes PTSD. PTSD causes bad grades. Bad grades gets the kid spanked more is flawed way to fix a problem.

I think it is one of those things that we don't really know until it happens. i.e. sending immagrants into camps. By then it will be too late. So, I don't know if America is truly at a time when we are close to Hitler fascism. But by the time we will know a lot of damage will be done if we are.

According to Whitfield M.D. about 90% of families are dysfunctional, dysfunctional families have a high prevalence of PTSD according to https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9367873/ . PTSD is likely to cause children to have bad grades according to https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7003209/ . Even a child being smacked can have an affect on grades https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c2eyke83yz9o. Spanking causes a child to become defiant so the exact behavior you're trying to correct gets amplified according to https://www.wsbtv.com/news/trending-now/spanking-can-cause-lifelong-mental-deficiencies-in-children-new-study-says/244922240/?outputType=amp . Kind of a circular problem. Spanking has shown to alter the brain in ways similiar to severe maltreatment https://www.gse.harvard.edu/ideas/usable-knowledge/21/04/effect-spanking-brain . My solution was get rid of spanking and adopt a method that Europe is already doing. The law holds parents as authority on education, health, and daily routines but the law treats the child as an individual citizen with the same basic rights as an adult. The child has a right to a non-violent upbringing, even psychological injuries are not allowed. I am pretty sure someone was threatening death to anyone who thinks we should get rid of parental autonomy. Do people really feel that strongly about parental autonomy? To me it's the same as getting rid of smacking a dog on the nose for biting. From what I look up you might get animal abuse charges if you smack a dog on the nose for biting someone.
