As I get more comfortable with Lemmy, I've decided to move my posts to lemmy.world. Not that I find anything inherently wrong with lemmy.ml, but that I'd like to respect that lemmy.ml wasn't really founded as a general-purpose instance in a way that lemmy.world has been.

While this community is really just a place for me to shout into the void and have a personal trail of things I find interesting, I I hope that those who found it interesting feel free to subscribe over at https://lemmy.world/c/jonkenator.

I don't want Lucid to fail, but it seems like they're consistently 10 years too late. A $50k EV in 2026 (at the soonest) isn't very compelling to me. It might do well, but not at the expense of M3 or MY.

I agree, hybrids are still fully gas-powered cars.

This is a good step forward for Lamborghini, but hopefully in a few years we'll see the headline "Lamborghini has sold it's last non-plug-in supercar".

My grandma used to make this. We call it pink slime.

It's delicious.

It wasn't a very high bar.

ironically, as of writing it has not self-destructed for... 37 months, 7 days, 9 hours, and 32 minutes, but this is a cool project. like most of the people who have heard of this, i heard about it at the peak of COVID. it seems it found quite a niche.

I know it's nothing impressive, but I just love hauling things besides the kids.

I'm out of town for a few days and I missed the epic hail storm yesterday. Does anybody have any photos to share?
