UPDATE: The search for 14-year-old Alicia Navarro, who disappeared from the Phoenix area in September of 2019, came to an end in July of 2023 when the young woman, now 18, reported to a police station in Montana. “She is by all accounts safe, she is by all accounts healthy, and she is by all accounts happy," Jose Santiago, a spokesman for the Glendale Police Department, told reporters at a news conference. The case is still under investigation and the details about how Alicia got to Montana remained unclear.
