According to Automotive News, a September survey published by the think tank Clean Energy Canada showed that 48 percent of respondents want an EV as their next car. And now that Canada will be allowing some Chinese EVs into the market, close to half of those potential customers are willing to wait for them.

No one particularly wants a Chinese EV, they just want affordable cars and China is the only one offering them.

The only country selling EV's/hybrids to Canada that actually meet at least my needs is China. Its not even about price at this point, its that the current market doesn't even try to be competitive or develop good electric vehicles.

What good is a 40km battery when my daily commute is 150km? What good is a 350km battery when i do quarterly 650km day trips, and can't afford the time to charge the vehicle (no, I can't 'do other things' while the car is charging, the charger is a 20 minute drive from the nearest store/restaurant/etc).
