I can't wait to get back to real America. Back when they used lead to color milk and sometimes when you opened a container it'd just be filled with maggots. Back when thousands of people died every day due to milk contamination alone. Those sure were the days.

The “real America” was a 50–60 year fluke of world history, and the chances of it coming back are one in a million.

The "real America" these fucks are trying to get us back to is, ironically, the closest America came to socialism (which is to say, still really fucking far from close). They look at how much progress was made in this country under FDR, how powerful this country became despite its severe and bone-deep systemic issues with racism, imperialism, fascism, etc. with allll those problems, adding just the bare tiniest sliver of socialism which FDR introduced, made us something the right is willing to kill themselves (and all of us with them) to get back to. (Problem is, they're dumb shits and so fight in the exact opposite direction)

It was because of those things, not in spite of them. FDR’s social safety net was built on the classical imperialist exploitation & neoliberal exploitation of the global south, and on the backs of black Americans, especially before the civil rights movement, but after as well.

I HIGHLY reccomend that anyone in America stop eating prepackaged processed foods entirely. It was already unhealthy but can now be dangerous. Get whole ingredients, wash them, and cook your own food. Go to a local resturant that does the same instead of some fast food place. Want some peanut butter? Buy peanuts and put them in the blender with some canola oil. It takes a few minutes and you know your not eating whatever nurgleite nonsense this idiot is letting them put in your food.

This is different from the previous practice of allowing toxic chemicals after safety review.
