Wrong type of cheese (unless for some reason you really don't like the smell of Swiss?) but great execution

Swiss cheese is stinky, but it is really faint.
Packaged sliced hard cheese doesn't have the same smell as the artisanal one. :)
But yeah any sort of soft -even bire or my personal favorite camembert - could be a better candidate!

None of those cheeses are stinky at all. You cut a good aged Emmental or Gruyère and it just smells of that nutty earthiness and Brie and Camembert smell like cream, butter and fresh mushrooms, until they start getting old, off and ammonia-y.

Have you ever smelled a washed rind cheese? Like a Maroilles? It smells like long-unwashed people having sex. We used to have to keep it in its own section of the fridge. And the psychopaths where it's from pair it with coffee. Delicious cheese though, I used to put it on cheese platters I made for my family events as a joke.
