There's a lot more nuance than op let's through though it has been argued that the Khanate rule over the middle east ended the Islamic golden age, which, aside from the killing and warmongering is not the best legacy.

In Uzbekistan they've replaced the statues of Lenin with him, even though he apparently hated the Uzbek people irl.

    Almost nobody in the west, perhaps. The guy has like a bazillion statues in some regions of the world, and parents still name their child after this guy.
