He's acting like F-35 components are some sort of fungible commodity, instead of something who's export and use is tightly controlled, possibly more than any other product in the world.

What's funny is that the Israelis will still hate Labour's fucking guts despite this duplicitousness to help them. What is even the point.

    it was always understood this was a mealymouthed "literally only grains that go directly and exclusively to an illegal settler's hands" sanction and anything for "legal" israelis (of course that applies to their defense force!) wouldn't be touched.

    this isn't a dunk on anyone who knew what milibrand was doing, it's still a success that the UK government was forced to do a symbolic sanctions regime and the activists pushing sanctions haven't gone home or reduced pressure.
