Have they considered selling the naming rights? Perhaps this one could be "The Citibank Global Catastrophe" or "Exxon-Mobil Extreme Weather Event(tm)"? Surely something AI related is timely - "Anthropic Atmospheric Anomalie"?

The Exxon-Mobil Extreme Weather Event(tm) sounds like something a monster truck event presenter would.. You know, present:

"TONIGHT ight ight, TACO BELL DORITOS LOCOS TACOS PRESENTS.. THE EXXON-MOBIL EXTREME (guitar riff) WEATHERRRRRR EVENT ent ent!! (Airhorn, bald eagle sound that's just a red-tailed hawk sound)."

How about we just call it "a warning"? I'm sure we'll get another if we don't heed this one. And another, and another, until we finally do heed them. Then a few more because we're past the point of just turning things back.

They don't talk about it much in this article, but in addition to the destruction of infrastructure, all the saltwater is going to seriously hurt freshwater estuaries and marshes, themselves defending California from climate change, just like has happened to Louisiana.

So in addition to record heat and drought, any place hit by these ocean waters is also going to be fighting a coating of salt.

Call it “Wake the fuck up, you stupid fucking knobs, or there won’t be a planet to host our existence anymore. Wake the fuck up now or we will start executing the polluters.”

meanwhile trump pays billions of taxpayer dollars to cancel solar and windfarm projects so his citizens can pay for the highest diesel prices ever that he caused.

    El Niño Sr.

Its like the big daddy as his son wasn't taken serious by climate change deniers.

The name should be, the weakest el Nino going forward, and then each subsequent more powerful one, will take the mantle until were no longer able to track these things

    No

We’re going into extreme territory with this one, probably record breaking. It’s possible we could have another one in a couple years. But it would be pretty hard to have another strong one just a couple years from now because this one looks like it really will discharge the battery. But simultaneously, the battery is getting larger and refilling more quickly with global warming.

No, you just didn't know what an El Nino actually is, and now you're being weird about it for some reason instead of viewing learning something as a positive

No, you are just so full of yourself, and you're upset that you are unable to accept that not everything you read on the internet is at face value it seems

    Alright buddy...

Last time I ever see one of your comments to try and help you understand something, this isn't the first time you e acted like this when someone tries to help you.

You'll still be wrong about stuff, just one less person willing to try and help you

There's the issue. A) I understood what was happening, and exaggerated on the internet. B) you felt you had to "correct" something that didn't need correcting. C) you came off as pretentious in your second* reply. D) when called out, you doubled down in your defensiveness. 5) I'm glad to not have your help when it clearly isn't needed
