Senatorial elections are not a general election. There are no ordinary people going to the urns, only elected officials from the local governments. Doesn't make it better but less directly "the people hasn't read their program".

They don't read ; they assume it will be "like the old times", which they have not even lived through. I think the mayors who vote for the far-right are just here for the graft.
