The State Department informed congressional officials that the Trump administration is planning to allocate 17,500 refugee spots for fiscal year 2027, and that they will "primarily" go to Afrikaners, who President Trump has claimed are being oppressed for being White. Fiscal year 2027 starts in October.

While the second Trump administration has effectively shut down the U.S. refugee resettlement program for most people fleeing persecution and violence around the world, it has made an exemption for Afrikaners, resettling thousands of them over the past year and a half.

Trump administration officials have portrayed Afrikaners as victims of racial oppression in post-apartheid South Africa. The South African government has consistently denied persecuting the ethnic minority, made up of descendants of European settlers, mostly from the Netherlands.

    Ah, yes... the (supposed) "white genocide" happening in South Africa - the weirdest "genocide" the world has ever known, as the (supposed) "genocide" victims have been waiting for the (supposed) "genocide" to happen for thirty years now while the (supposed) "genocide" perpetrators have (so far) shown complete disinterest in actually showing up to do the (supposed) "genocide."

    South African here, Arie van der Hoek (M, 38) and I’m happy that the Grote 49th president of the US of A has given me, my wijf and our seven kids a chance to start a new life in America. Life in SA was hard, for one I am the illegitimate son of a South African politician, who only later in life accepted me into his family :-( It took me ages to have my name changed to my Papa’s van der Hoek. I guess I will need to white-face it for the first few years, but once I get a steady job and a passport, I will definitely vote for GOP and … Trunp !
