RIP Peter Cullen.

I saw it during it's original run when I was a kid. I cried twice in the movie. my dad had to take me out of the theatre when prime died. He said he'd take me back next week if I promised not to cry.

We also had it on VHS when they showed it on TV as a special with live action scenes between commercial breaks. Had that tape for like 20+ years and wore it out. I know every. single. line in that movie. I can quote it from beginning to end. It's honestly my favourite film of all time and yes I know it's just a dumb toy commercial killing off (literally) the first line to introduce the second one but I love it.

Went to go see it again this past weekend and I was quietly saying the lines along with the movie. It was awesome seeing it on the big screen again after 40 years. And yes I did cry again a bit when they showed "Optimus Prime: Awakening" at the end.

The Decepticons are retreating! Prime did it! He turned the tied!

I wanted to go, as I didn't get to see it in the theater in 86, but none of my local theaters are showing it. The closest one is too far away to drive to the movies.
