They're actually quite lucky to be called "Microslop" instead of what we used to call it back in the day...

From what I've seen coming out of Redmond recently, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that the "Microslop" filter broke with some random update as opposed to being intentionally disabled.

The intended takeaway is "Microsoft is getting less bad", but I don't think their brand reputation is salvageable by anything short of putting all C-levels in stocks on the front lawn in Redmond and a full repudiation of copilot/ai which obviously won't happen.

They probably already chose a new name.

I very much doubt that. When I have to open Office365 (Copilot... Sloppity... WhateverItIsCalledThIsWeek) in a browser they manage to hide the actual apps like Word, Excel etc. a little more behind the giant empty chat interface. Last time I checked my pinned Apps were gone and now there is a tiny button containing some of the apps. To make it worse, this button changed the location on screen almost every time I opened this website in the past months (I'm not using it very often).

Any time my work computer is having problems (which seems to be every fucking week since we got windows 11) I ensure I use the term in my support tickets to IT.
