Can you imagine this technology being used for good instead of evil?

Companies could instead lower prices for those who are struggling to pay for food. Unfortunately we are all so used to a reality where corporations are evil, bloodsucking parasites the possibility of one using technology to help people never even crosses our minds.

    you don't have to imagine it -- it's already a reality for a majority of the world's population that does ai and you can see all the non-evil effects it's having on society if you switch away from american controlled social media.

    you're already on lemmy so you're part of the way there -- just start browsing the instances that the centrists and liberals are telling you to stay away from because it's filled w tankies.

    The fact that you're talking about surveillance pricing specifically and they're talking about AI in general doesn't mean you're not 100% wrong about everything. Nobody who uses "Tankie" as a perjorative is on the right side of anything.
