It seems the fediverse is continuing and growing again.

Total users are huge now.

There are many websites out there that pull data from the fediverse. So take that with a grain of salt. But anecdotally I am seeing a small rise in people using the various platforms as each get more mature and servers somewhat stabilize.

There's some caveats to the rise. There's likely spam waves hitting pixelfed (~300k), 2 months ago a spam wave hit writefreely (~400k), and possibly Bookwrym currently (~4k).

    Hopefully some of the growth is real, though per @Vicinus@piefed.zip here, Pixelfed and Writefreely may be encountering MAU-inflating spam waves.

    Haha. Guess we both replied basically the same thing to the post.

    Does look like +50k real growth over the last month. With the caveat that that is only counting the software I track, so could be greater.
