Fargo is a TV series based on the Coen brothers film of the same name. It covers incidents tangentially connected to the film, taking place between the years before and after the infamous briefcase from the film came to rest on the side of a highway in North Dakota. Season one depicts the consequences of a chance meeting between a travel agent who was bullied as a child and a hitman who offers to exact vengeance on his behalf when the two cross paths in a hospital waiting room.
