I won’t be surprised when public libraries go private in many places. It was already attempted in Fresno. And public school libraries are already being shut down.

Conservatives don’t believe in public services or public education.

In our state we have Geico insurance company running the interstate rest stops and Amazon teaching lessons in public schools. Very few people seem to have a problem with it. People love money and stuff and don't care about the motivations behind it.

This is happening here in Australia too.

    All public facilities.

It always seems to be about kids and sex?

Like one of these idiots found a book that had a diagram of a dick and borrowed it with a child's library card and somehow that was a major incident?

Also somehow providing several "family" change rooms at the swimming pool instead of just male and female is somehow enabling pedophiles?

The upside, folks, is that this is one issue where you absolutely have local power to do something.

First and foremost, use your library, even if only digitally; However, I'd encourage you to look at the services your library offers because there are probably some really cool things you're missing out on. Mine has board games and movies, both live and for checkout, for example.

Show up to city council meetings and testify.

    Donate and volunteer.
