I wonder why Americans don't realize there won't be any midterms. It's fucking obvious that Trump and his henchmen are going to declare a national emergency, or send ICE goons to "secure" the polling places, or somehow tamper or cancel them. It's blindingly obvious - if only because Trump does jack shit to even do anything remotely popular to win the vote, meaning he very obviously doesn't intend that there even be a vote.

It's glaringly obvious and yet people still cling to this fantasy that they're going to be able to vote and retake the house and senate.

The Germans too thought they could vote the Nazis out, right up until the Nazi outlawed all the other parties.
