if it's anything like other thinkpads just wait a couple years for people to put them on third party marketplaces to sell cause they don't know what they have.

I don't know what it is about about people who buy new Thinkpads and then sell them a couple years later for dirt cheap because they assume they're out of date. I've scored like 5 or 6 thinkpads this way.

It’s business cycling through their PC leases or getting rid of 3/4 year old machines.

I usually bought Thinkpads used for my business and would just cycle them to the field techs who would destroy them after a year or two in the field. Yeah toughbooks would last longer but they were way more expensive and could still be destroyed or severely mangled.
