When I first heard Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough on the radio in the early 1990s, I think it may have been the first time I heard a song and thought it could be part of something else. The instrumental part when they aren't singing reminded me of fantasy games like Final Fantasy and Phantasy Star that I'd either played, or watched others play. That kind of epic worldwide scale in those games seemed like a good fit for that regal sounding melody.

The song itself is kinda just okay. My favourite song by Patty Smyth is Warrior, though, I'm not really a fan. I really just know those two songs, but they're great songs. So I have Warrior on my 80s playlist and Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough on my 90s playlist.

Not really much to say here, just a song that's always been there in my life, for the last 35 years or so.
