Hey guys! Im a 22 year old girl in college and I want to get an Apple Watch tomorrow at the Apple Store on Black Friday. I don’t know much about Apple Watches but I have diabetes and some other health problems I heard it’s very easy to check those things through the app on your Apple Watches. The only problem is that there are so many Apple Watches to choose from, I just want a regular normal $100-$300 watch if anyone can help me out! Thank you!

With the Dexcom G6 or G7 the apple watch app will display all the blood sugar data from your iPhone as transmitted to the phone from your CGM device. What this means for you is simple. If you want the readings to show up on your watch, you heed to always have your phone with you. Dexcom is still a bit behind in creating a stand alone link between the CGM device and the Apple watch, and that’s probably due to regulatory approval I would guess. Just go ahead and get y9urself an Apple Watch SE (2023) model.

You don’t need an Apple Watch, you need something like Dexcom G7 device to monitor your blood sugar with an app on the phone.

I don’t have diabetes but my dog did. There are implantable devices (the one we used on our dog was a Freestyle Libre) and they will work with an app on your phone (and maybe your watch, I’m not sure about that). The watch itself cannot monitor your blood sugar.

Temperature detects when I have a mild fever as a male, indispensable.

Watch will not detect blood sugar levels. Only heart rate , oxygen saturation and ECG. Newer ones have temperature sensors which detect when your ovulating

If you decide on the SE and can wait for shipping, Amazon and Walmart are selling it for $179, cheaper than Apple's $249 plus $50 gift card. I ordered one.

At 300, you’re limited to the SE. It misses out on some health features.

I’d actually suggest looking into some diabetes related solutions (plenty of small devices that do that). Apple Watch is great at heart rate, and similar stuff; but not so much for blood sugar (idk if it does that even).
