I’d assume not because you’re not actually moving anywhere but me and my friends like to do REAL big calorie burning sessions at the gym and it doesn’t track anything

You can track your indoor running workouts with the Workout app and the Indoor running workout type

Are you just using an iPhone or using an Apple Watch too? Just the iPhone tracking is hit or miss.

Do you have an Apple Watch? Heart rate monitoring is key.

Is the phone in your pocket? Without a fitness tracker, the iPhone relies on the gyroscope and accelerometer to "track" calories.

It will with Apple Watch. I find it to record shorter distance than what the treadmill records. The best is when you find a treadmill with GymKit (which my gym has)
