I remember seeing a study that the bottom 50% of USians already meet climate goals based on their consumption, while the next 40-45% or so only need to cut back about 10%. The rich, especially the very richest, are literally killing the planet. And I don't even know if that study was including the means of production that the very rich own in their calculations, or if they were only looking at household consumption.
