Just asking, because I'm sitting here with modded factorio, and I'm waiting for some handcrafting to finish.

Sure, some of the intermediaries cannot be handcrafted, such as plastic and blue chips, so we'll say those are allowed.

Power armor mk2, probably? Anyone tried it to see how much time it takes?

Also, does the equation change if you have to handcraft any ingredients that go into an assembler to make the non-handcraftable ones?

The wiki states 18.1k seconds for power armor MK2, about 5 hours. I think this is the most rescource and time intensive item in the game.

Can't be, the mech suit has power armour MK 2 as an ingredient :)

According to the wiki, the vanilla mk2 armor takes the ~18k seconds, but with the space age mod the ingredients are different and only takes ~14k, the mech armor in space age also takes ~14k so, seems like the vanilla version of the mk2 wins

Ah yeah, it's gonna differ based on whether you're playing the expansion, that's true.

I choose to trust the wiki, as I do not feel like testing it

It's probably the mech suit, which takes the power armour mk2 as an ingredient. For added fun, consider if you could handcraft quality :)

Sometimes modded has hand crafting speed up tech/research
