Berlin is a terrible place to drive a car. On the other hand, public transport is pretty good. Can't understand why anyone would prefer to take a car. Same thing - and probably even more so - in Munich.

In Berlin an existing tram line net is one of the biggest of the world however, it used to be bigger. There people showed so much effort bringing in new ideas and concepts. But Germany in general remain a car land, like in the article mentioned, all of that became political. Attacks on cars is equal an attack on a cardriver. In Berlin and many other city you really don't need it, and people from the countryside working in city may park its cars before and go with public transport then. I am hopefull the cititzens wouldn't let the city fall.
