I work outside and really depend on accurate weather forecasts. Apple is great at telling me what the weather is currently doing but for that I can just look around with my eyes.

Is there a free or cheap weather app that can actually reliably predict the weather? I’ve tried a few recently and it’s like weather forecasts just aren’t what they used to be.

Ventusky. It has multiple sources.

I overheard a couple of colleagues talking about the Norwegian app YR a few years ago, and it’s been my go-to ever since. Highly recommend. https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/yr-no/id490989206

There is no official app, but weather.gov is going to likely be the most reliable. The NOAA forecasts are what a lot of data sources are based on.

Mine has always been extremely accurate, maybe it varies by location
