9.1 GB is pretty big for an ISO. I don't think I've ever waited 2 hours to download a distro

Just like back in the bad old days. You would leave your computer running overnight to download a few mp3 files.

You are right. If I had to guess, maybe because bazzite comes with tons of software? Why is it so big actually, most are under 4

I haven't checked lately, but when I gave Bazzite a try around a year ago they had a TON of download options and one of them was a "fully offline" installer, so it was pretty beefy since it had everything they think you could possibly want to install during the initial setup in the iso already. But conversely, I'm pretty sure they had a "minimal" installer that was pretty small, but would need an internet connection during install for anything more than the bare minimum system.

8Mb/s is an abysmal download rate. I hope the games you plan on playing aren’t too big.

It ended up getting a bit better after a while, luckily :) I think 8mbps is fine for many games, latency and stability have been issues for me before but not bandwidth.

Edit: Ah you mean game download times, not online games. Luckily I get like 100 mbps downloading from steam, this download seemed to be bottlenecked server-side?
