Billions are going to die because of only 4,000 people with names and addresses.

We need more Luigi’s.

[-] simone@lemmy.org 13 points 5 days ago

Killing the billionaires will solve most of the world’s human created problems overnight.

[-] Obi@sopuli.xyz 13 points 5 days ago

I don't know about that, the reason these billionaires exist is because they're at the top of the pyramid of a fucked system, if they all died overnight they'd just be replaced by the next one in line, cheap plastic shit and toxic food would still get produced, pollution would still keep happening etc. I mean there's a chance that the event might work some sense into the rest of them, or scare them into enacting actual change but it's not a given.

[-] simone@lemmy.org 9 points 5 days ago

You see, when they are replaced, you kill the next. I say we do it and then see how it goes. 4000 dead assholes is a small price to pay in war.

The problem is, they control the system… so you cannot use the system to beat them. The only thing left is deleting them from the system and restructuring it without their involvement.

[-] frongt@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 days ago

Ok so we just keep going down the line and kill all humans? A radical proposal for sure, but I suppose it would certainly solve the problem.

[-] simone@lemmy.org 6 points 5 days ago

Not all humans. 4000 at a time. Let me know how long 4000 per year takes to kill all humans on earth. Include birth rates.

You sound like MAGAt fed trash.

The SRs did this for nearly a century in czarist Russia and it didn't bring them any closer to revolution. By the 1910s they made being a minister for the Czar a legitimately dangerous profession, if anything it made the regime more reactionary and made them beef up the police state.

[-] simone@lemmy.org 5 points 5 days ago

A thing that didn’t work in the past doesn’t mean it won’t work in the future by learning from the mistakes of the past.

But go on, keep telling me how much you love billionaires, and capitalism.

[-] Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 5 days ago

Never said I love billionaires and capitalism, just saying there are better ways to fight them then assassinations. It's trying to solve a systemic problem with an individualistic solution.

We need to organize and unite to defeat the capitalists, if people rally around a dead oligarch then that can be good, but if it alienates people due to the inevitable collateral damage then that's bad for the cause.

Either way though the main challenge is building solidarity and there are safer ways to do this with more mass appeal, albeit less drama, then assassinations.

[-] simone@lemmy.org 3 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Look, I’m gonna stop you with that “organize” bullshit. It is very clear you’re a fucking fed who wants to lead everyone on with hopes and dreams and thoughts and prayers. You should be fucking ashamed of yourself. I don’t know how you sleep at night. I hope your children never find out that disgusting things you’re doing in support of capitalism.

Organizing. Solidarity. What fucking jokes. It is immensely clear what side you’re on and it is not mine.

Kindly fuck off and die. Kisses.

[-] Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 4 days ago

Idk if this is sarcasm but you clearly don't know the FBI if you think they'd be discouraging assassinations. They'd track your IP and gas you up as much as they could to build incriminating evidence to show that they caught a dangerous left wing terrorist.

[-] simone@lemmy.org 2 points 4 days ago

That’s exactly what a fed would say.

[-] Sharkticon@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 days ago

Didn't bring them any closer to revolution? It brought them closer to three.

[-] Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 4 days ago

The main cause for the revolutions of 1905 and 1917 was the governments failure to handle the war. No one was striking or in the streets because an SR killed another minister

[-] Sharkticon@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 days ago

Main cause perhaps in 1917. But not only cause. You cant pretend that SR activity didn't have an impact.

[-] Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 4 days ago

The SRs did help to organize the country side and rally them for the revolution, but the peasants weren't rallying because of there assassinations, they were joining because of there promise to expropriate the rich landlords and redistribute the land to the peasants. If another party came along promising land redistribution, but without the history of assassinations, the peasents would join it just as enthusiastically. As seen with Makhno and the anarchists.

[-] BestBouclettes@jlai.lu 2 points 5 days ago

The system that made them will still be there. And people surrounding them, while not billionaires themselves can take over and keep the machine going

[-] simone@lemmy.org 2 points 5 days ago

The system can change once 4000 billionaires are gone. And if it doesn’t, keep lowering the bar.

the fact that we know there will be 4000 of them implies there is a list of them somewhere.

where is the list?

[-] mushroommunk@lemmy.today 15 points 5 days ago

Forbes publishes a lost of the wealthiest 400 every year, can start there

[-] EditsHisComments@lemmy.world 8 points 5 days ago

It's a great start. Though the truly wealthiest people on that list are mostly just the ones that are able to inflate their net worths with stocks. The wealthiest people in the world make sure much of their finances aren't public

[-] RaoulDuke85@piefed.social 17 points 5 days ago

Better start subtracting before they multiply.

Financial obesity is an existential threat to any society that tolerates it, and needs to cease being celebrated, rewarded, and positioned as an aspirational goal.

Corporations are the only ‘persons’ which should be subjected to capital punishment, but billionaires should be euthanised through taxation.

[-] _chris@lemmy.world 10 points 5 days ago

Since we aren’t just printing enough extra money to cover this, guess where it’s coming from.

[-] 0ndead@infosec.pub 7 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

The kind of money that makes people billionaires doesn’t actually exist. It’s just a collection of “numba go up” scams.

[-] lumpyluggage@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

Education, social services, healthcare aaaand you

[-] danc4498@lemmy.world 10 points 5 days ago

Trillionaire will be the new billionaire. Broke is still broke.

[-] HubertManne@piefed.social 3 points 5 days ago

I have predicted through my life that one day I would be a millionaire but it would suck. So far it has not happened and now I think I won't be a millionaire but being one will still suck its just being a thousandaire will suck more.

[-] Malyca@lemmy.zip 3 points 4 days ago

That reminds me to buy more ammo

[-] Blaster_M@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago

Well, there was a time in history when nearly everyone in Zimbabwe were billionaires.... in Zimbabwe dollars... which apocalyptically inflated in value...

[-] Mk23simp@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 5 days ago

If these people are so amazing to earn that much money, we should ship them all to mars and we'd have a thriving colony in a few years.

[-] Grass@sh.itjust.works 5 points 5 days ago

funny how when you put the number of billionaires next to the number of people killed by billionaires you suddenly have a luigi hat on

[-] shittydwarf@sh.itjust.works 7 points 5 days ago

We gotta get those numbers down

[-] podian@piefed.social 5 points 5 days ago

That's a lot of people we have to eat!!!

[-] MolochHorridus@piefed.social 4 points 5 days ago

We need to at the very least thin the herd drastically.

[-] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

You can just look up where a lot of these guys live, fyi.

[-] morto@piefed.social 3 points 5 days ago

A lot of people want to ger rid of billionaires, but very few people actually want to get rid of the system that creates billionaires

[-] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 2 points 5 days ago

because they dont want admit they also benefit from cheap labor from others.

[-] 0ndead@infosec.pub 3 points 5 days ago

Yeah, but how many will still have heads?

[-] boaratio@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

Wait, does this mean we'll eventually all be billionaires? Is my math right on this one?

[-] Obi@sopuli.xyz 3 points 5 days ago

Yes if the system stays the same then eventually, after enough inflation, we would all be billionaires (well, our descendants). In the same way everyone in Zimbabwe was a billionaire.

No. No, I'm sorry, but this will not do. The hoarding of that much money is unacceptable. Eatings must be made.

[-] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

So much wealth stored in so few people. Imagine how much money will be unlocked from each billionaire eaten. It will pay for healthcare, childcare, housing, education, and nice towns to enjoy it all in.

[-] HubertManne@piefed.social 2 points 5 days ago

and how many thousandaires?
