For me, it would be at least 128 GB (minimum) storage. We were really balling with 16 GB iphones even less than 10 years ago lol.

So my rommmate/best friend has been using an iphone 6 for the last 9 years. 16 GB at that. Just constantly deleting shit all the time or dealing with apps that don't necessarily work anymore properly.

For him, it really just worked so he never bothered to upgrade.

Well, the universe finally intervened today when he visited me at the bar i worked at and later left his phone on the roof and it went flying (we live literally across the street so he was fine to drive) and someone ran over it. The phone surprisingly still works albeit completely bonkers screen but after convincing him to treat himself and move to the actual new age, we went to the apple store.

Homie JUST got an iphone 15 Pro Max today (he got something better than me) and immediately he was caught off guard with the lack of Touch ID and the gestures.

When I first got an iPhone it was the iPhone 3G so I guess my answer today would be Apple Music! Or any subscription music service.

Thought I’d be downloading forever lol. First tried Rdio back in like 2012 and instantly fell in love. Took a few years but eventually Spotify and Apple Music made their way into the conversation. 100% couldn’t live without it now. I never wanna have to download music again lol

As simple as it is, the reminders app lol. I literally have reminders set for EVERYTHING. I think I’d lose my own head if it wasn’t for the reminders app to remind me to keep it attached 😂

Is there any way to turn off interactive widgets for the reminder app? I use it all the time but find myself accidentally checking off reminders in the widget

I’m not really sure. I don’t have any widgets set up for the reminders app. It will send me a regular notification on my Lock Screen to remind me on the date/time I set to be reminded. If you have a widget set up though, try holding it down and delete it off of your screen?

My first iPhone was a month ago. I don’t know

It's crazy how many people feel the need to comment that they have nothing to add...

Internet speeds over 100mbps, when I was excited back in the day to upgrading and being able to connect to AOL at 2400k. Well, until somebody wanted to use the landline and picked up the extension.

This! Switched back to iPhone after a decade on android. Went all in with the Apple Watch and iPad too. It’s pretty sweet how they work together.

Voiceover, sometimes the largest text size in apps isn’t big enough and I’m lazy at times and don’t want to read.

“Set a timer for 20 min”

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don’t even have to say timer. “Hey siri 20 minutes” does the trick

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You don’t even have to say Hey anymore 😁

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Shared shopping lists are a game changer. Wife and I just add stuff when we need to, then whoever is at the store just gets what’s on the list.

It’s a small thing, but the ability to auto-fill those pesky sms verification codes. I use this many times a day in my field. I can’t even recall 2-step verification being much of a thing back when I got my first iPhone 5. As of late, Hide My Email has garnered a close second though.

Weird and basic one but books. I’m an avid reader. Swore I’d never leave traditional books but ended up with a Kindle. Then I swore I’d never leave Kindle… until one night my Kindle went wonky right in the middle of a good part. Had to switch to the Kindle app on my phone to finish it. Never looked back and use my phone to read every day.

Night mode in cameras. Even my Full Frame mirrorless struggles to take non-blurry, non-noisy photos where my iPhone is just having a walk in the park.
