Hi

I have an AMD FW 13" and the POST times are, for a notebook, quite long - my older notebooks posted quicker, including the AMD GEN1 Thinkpad I had

Anyone else "feeling" this way?

My Dell Inspiron 14 with 5500u definitely posts quicker. I'm using the same drive with a fresh install.

But I assume this is to do with the bios and error checking. As the bios matures I would expect it to improve.

I think I might be sidestepping this one by rarely shutting down the machine in the first place, just suspending it. Resume times are near instant for me...

I think this is a DDR5 thing. My 7 year old desktop boots faster than my brand new desktop due to DDR5 having to recheck itself every boot to ensure its got consistent timings
