Hi, I’m looking for a monitor to replace my 27” 1080p philips monitor without breaking the bank. I use it mainly to browse the internet, play games, and coding. I prefer dark black over viewing angles so VA might be better in some cases.

A must:

  1. 4k
  2. 32” or more
  3. 16:9 or 19:10
  4. 100hz or more
  5. Flat (not curved)
  6. 1 Display port

Nice to have:

  1. Good HDR
  2. Adjustable stand
  3. Glossy screen

Budget: ~400 usd (I’d go up to 500 usd for better bang for the buck deal)

I’m not in the US.

Monitors I’m considering:

  1. MSI 322URDF
  2. Dell S3225QS
  3. Samsung LS32DG702EUXEN
  4. ASUS ROG Strix XG32UCG (recommended by a friend but it’s over $600)
  5. GAMEON GOP32UHD144IPS (last option)

Your price is a fantasy. Looking at newegg the first good monitor for that spec is $910 Going down to 27" or 60hz or both drastically decreases the price

Not really. I’ve 5 monitors around that price in my radar.

I’m leaning toward MSI 322URDF which is €365 and €426 ~ $500 with shipping and import fees.

I added those monitors to the post.

Samsung LS32DG702EUXEN

I see this at $800 for instance. Why do you think MSI is hundreds of dollars cheaper than a similarly specced samsung? Also Gameon appears to be shit compared to MSI

Samsung LG Dell are alll good brands don't really have any experience with Asus

Thank you for your recommendation.

Maybe it’s regional thing but in amazon eu it’s cheaper. I found it in another website for €411 including taxes and shipping in Germany.

411 euros is $482 and its listed as half off of 800 euros or $938 which is you know not suspicious at all.

Extremely low score of 2.2 out of 5 stars which tons of unanswered shit. Stuff like

Ordered in 2024, missing RAM, ignored for 1.5+ years, now ignoring again

No tracking code, no delivery and no customer support response. Avoid ! Ive lost money ordering an item that just disappeared.

It is probably a broken refurbished unit sold as new with no warranty from manufacturer. Then remember that with monitors there is a certain number of defective pixels that is considered within spec.

As an aside whereas you have no right to a replacement for a small number of dead pixels you have a right to a small return window for any reason but you may lose that return window arguing about dead pixels they aren't required to replace for so start an unconditional return for not being wanted immediately if you get a pos. Although based on history above computeruniverse may just keep your money.

You’re right!

But it was priced in Amazon at the same. Now not available.

Also, this dell is still available https://amzn.eu/d/0hnywRY5

Anything that is half of is not new its gone because it was a singular unit that was refurbished.

On your amazon link is a grab bag of different gear listed in the same listing which OBVIOUSLY used shit.

There is nothing wrong with buying used gear to save money but I often pay even less than half for it and prefer to buy it from other individuals. This lets me inspect it first and pay cash and no sales tax or fees to a market.
