I feel for Ramsdale. Legitimately played his heart out last season only to be replaced by Raya. Arteta stated that he was going to rotate the duo but ever since Raya got here he has received 95% of the starts it's nuts. Like if you weren't going to play Ramsdale or select him then why did you let go of Matt Turner who would have been more content with less starts then you could have transferred Ramsdale for an absolute piece and then use those funds to then upgrade your squad in the Jan Transfer Window? It makes no sense

No one with a brain believed the lie about rotating GKs from Arteta. It does not make any sense. In this position, you choose someone and stick with him unless a significant upgrade can be made.

Genuinly feel bad for Ramsdale as he really hasn't done anything wrong, but this is football and if the opportunity to upgrade on one of your positions presents itself then Aresenal and Arteta are not in the wrong either for doing so. This is just the world of football, they are professionals and Ramsdale will have no difficulty finding a top club (objectively) to take him on if he decides leaving is right for him.

Ramsdale isn’t a great goalkeeper, just a good one with a big heart. What you thought when he joined is what other teams and fans see now: good goalkeeper, but not great. The crying isn’t doing him any favors. At least Lehman-style aggression from the bench you would at least respect. In this instance, he should tell his old man to stop talking. I don’t remember Bernd Leno, a superior keeper, acting like this. The problem, as you all know, is that he’s English and he’s got one eye on England. That, and his ego is hurt which is fine. But if you don’t think articles like this are as damaging to him and to the Arsenal cause, then you’re kidding yourself. Arteta won’t stand for it and if he doesn’t stop moping, he’ll be gone in the summer. Arsenal did it to the current best goalkeeper in the world, Emi Martinez so they won’t hesitate doing it to twice relegated Aaron Ramsdale.

The things Raya is better than Ramsdale at are things Ramsdale can improve in, whereas the opposite isn't true. Ramsdale should focus on improving in set pieces and long distribution to take his spot back
