That is a really beautiful bike man. Damn.

75 today in NW Wisconsin. Went for a sunset ride today and it was absolutely perfect. And now it looks like we’re getting an ice storm on Wednesday and Thursday. I really hate March and April. Most schizophrenic months of the year for the upper Midwest.

How's the Ténéré treating you? Every once in a while I dream of trading in the KLR and seeing how people in the 21st century live, but then I come to my senses and take another trip with 932 pounds of crap strapped to the back of my bike.

The T7 is great, I would full heartedly recommend it. But so is the KLR, they are just different tools. Generally I agree with the saying the best bike is the one you own. And this is coming from a guy who sold a perfect BMW R1200 GS for a 2022 T7, then sold that for a 2024 KTM 890 Rally, then sold that for a 2025 T7 again. I’ve ridden KLRs and they are amazing. Simple, reliable, and will go just about anywhere. But the added power and twin cylinder smoothness of the T7 is quite intoxicating. Not better just different.

(I don't know anything about them)

Nice bike, nice terrain. How long of a ride do you normally go on the Tenere when doing longer rides?

The weather is finally getting nice where I live too, but my tires are seriously balding...

[-] Renorc@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Just 4-10 days usually.

Balding?

No one respects the "ding".
