Honestly this seems like an appropriate headline to me. The US didn't even attempt to prevent it from reaching Cuba afaik.

It’s not appropriate. The US didn’t not intervene because they felt bad for Cuba, they did it because the stakes were too high for them. “Russia breaks US oil blockade on Cuba” would be a much more honest title.
The Great Satan knows not to fuck with Russia, in fear of retribution (as in, more punishment that can be exacted upon the cheeseburger empire).

I think I read somewhere that pre-blockade imports were 100k barrels per day, so with rationing you would think that they could stretch these 650k barrels 2 weeks or longer
