Shoot and scoot isn't going to help you much in that situation.

Of course it would have helped. If I move from a secure hiding position to any forward firing position, start shooting at a target 15-30km away and drive back some minutes later then no FPV drone will even reach the position before I'm gone again.
But when you got spotted 30+ minutes ago, then a FPV drone flew out to line of sight and is already waiting in position to go the moment you move out of the tree line to fire, then it's simply a failure. That's not shoot and scoot but screw up and find out too late.
if your heavy artillery is in FPV range something went wrong long before the impact.
